I teach Freedom.
You can endlessly learn new guitar techniques, play compositions and study music theory - and still never feel free in your musical expression.

Freedom is clarity. It is relaxation. It is full confidence in your technique. It is seeing the fretboard clearly, without limitations or blind spots. It is trusting your ear - knowing which note wants to come next before you even play it. It is feeling rhythm pulse steadily in your veins. It is when the instrument no longer feels like an obstacle, but an extension of your thought.

My work is built around that shift.

Sessions take place in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere - both online and in-person - a space where you can feel at ease, open up musically and grow with confidence.

This is not about “learning songs.”
It’s about learning how to be free.
Student's Stories
Original guitar composition from scratch
Sergei's story

Driven by a strong passion for composition, Sergei created his original guitar piece “Who Understood Life” using my signature composition method, under my full guidance at every stage - from shaping the melody and harmony, to selecting the most suitable textures and techniques, and building a final structure that holds the listener’s attention from beginning to end.
Playing Tommy Emmanuel after just one year
Anton's story

Anton came to me with no prior experience in acoustic guitar. I guided him through the entire journey - from proper hand positioning and relaxation, to developing fingerpicking technique and building the right repertoire.
Anton is a remarkable example of what focused work can achieve. He practiced consistently and followed my guidance closely - and that commitment led to exceptional progress. Within just one year, he built a complex performance repertoire and was confidently playing in front of the camera, including Tommy Emmanuel’s “Lewis & Clark.”
All of this - starting from zero - in just one year.

Stories of Andrew, Alex, Dmitry and Eugene

Many of my students are deeply interested in harmony and reharmonization - exploring richer chord progressions and creating distinctive versions of well-known songs that immediately stand out.
After completing my full harmony course, Andrew, Alex, Dmitry, and Eugene each created their own interpretation of Elvis Presley’s“Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Listen to how different each version sounds. That is what it means to discover your own musical voice.
Crafting original arrangements - not just copying others'
Andrew's story

Andrew is a talented guitarist who had been learning well-known fingerstyle arrangements and successfully sharing them on TikTok. Over time, however, he reached a point where playing other people’s versions was no longer enough.

We began working on the skill of crafting original arrangements of well-known songs - developing his fingerstyle arrangement and composition thinking. He made significant progress and began shaping music in his own voice.

Andrew also had the ambition to become a guitar teacher. I mentored him in this direction, sharing my methodology and approach to structured musical development. Today, he teaches guitar successfully as a side profession.
From tension to effortless technique
Vitaly's story

Vitaly came to me feeling stuck behind a technical barrier he kept hitting again and again - even though his repertoire did not yet include particularly complex compositions.
What I immediately noticed was excessive tension in his hands and incorrect positioning. It was no surprise that he felt limited.
We spent several months focusing specifically on relaxation and efficient hand mechanics. As tension was released and positioning corrected, his technique improved dramatically.
Just watch how naturally and beautifully his hands move now.
Discovering freedom through improvisation
Vera's story

Being a classical guitarist Vera didn't feel free in spontaneous improvisation at all. We worked with my improvisation method for a month, focusing on rhythmic freedom, phrasing and chord shapes that support fluid, intuitive playing. Staying in the improvisational flow Vera was able to find really beautiful sounds which eventually evolved into this captivating semi-improvised composition.
From self-doubt to creative flow
Edgar's story

Edgar didn't like what he was able to compose on guitar. So we worked on composition and improvisation, developed a new approach with more playfulness and freedom. He learned how to transform even simple musical ideas into compelling compositions - and, more importantly, how to recognize the potential in ideas he would previously have dismissed. This sketch was created with ease and many more are on the way.

About Me
My name is Andrew Axenov. I’m a composer and performing guitarist. My musical path began over 20 years ago in a small Siberian town and has since led me to some of the finest stages across different countries. Over the years, I have developed a style that combines fingerstyle technique, live looping, live electronics, and a strong element of improvisation. Along the way, I have helped hundreds of students worldwide pursue their own musical paths.

For me, teaching is not separate from performing. It is the same process: listening carefully and making right actions at the right time - with a deep love for Sound and a commitment to serving Music in the best way possible.

This is what I pass on.
